I have waited my whole life to go to Versailles and Monet's Gardens. The tour guide was very good and picked us up right at time at the hotel. It was nice not to have to search him down. The van was comfortable and the other guest "6" total were very nice and fun to travel with. The tour guide had a micro phone and talked during most of the hour long travel to Versailes into the microphone but it was difficult to understand him most of the time. He was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the day. If I had to do it again I would skip Versailes. The crowds were vast and they do not control how many people coming in at any given time so we really felt like cattle going through the palace. Monet's gardens were fantastic though and worth every penny to visit. They are a must see.
Pass on this tour. We could barely understand the guide and they only gave us 20 minutes on Murano to see the shops. They lead us in to a demonstration of glass blowing and then said meet us back in 20 minutes at the boat. 20 minutes is just not enough time to visit the island and see other glass blowing examples. We ended up coming back on another day using the city boats and it was much better!
