This tour was a disaster. It was in 5 languages, which could hardly be heard over the roar of the boat engine. About the only English we heard was "on your right side" or "on your left side". We tried sitting at the front of the boat to get away from the engine, however the windows were too high so you couldn't see out of them.
The first stop was at the glass blowing. We were jammed in and told to "stand cheek to cheek" I couldn't see a single thing during the 5 minute demonstration. We were then shuffled out with the curtain very quickly closed behind us just in case we took any more photos. This was to give us plenty of time to buy from their shop.
The next stop was for the lace making. This talk lasted approx 1 minute, also to give us plenty of time to buy their products. They spent more time telling us what was on sale than anything else.
The third Island was pretty, but also commercial. On the way back which took an hour we were asked to sit at the front of the boat to balance it, so couldn't see a thing. I looked around at one stage to see most of the passengers asleep!!!!
You can't complain about the price of this tour as it is only 20 Euros, however it wasted 4 hours of the little time we had to spend in Venice.
This tour was great. We don't normally do large group tours by coach, however we were only on the coach from Florence and then back again.
It was very well organised, we had 2 great guides, and it was some of the most wonderful scenery that we have ever seen.
I highly reccomend this tour.
