My Review: The tour was fun from the first minute. Our guide was charming and very knowledgeable. The group was small and we really got to see "the works" of the Opera House. The breakfast was tasty and it was delightful to eat in the unusual ambiance.

Ancient Ostia Small Group Day Trip from Rome

My Review: We were a very small group and it was a rainy day. Yet the enthusiasm of our guide was very cheering. She took very good care of us and had a lot of knowledge. Not even the rain, which was pouring down in the end, dampened her spirits. Ostia is an impressive and vast area of ruins...one still gets a very good impression of the way the town must have once flourished. The company of our guide definitely enhanced the experience.

My Review: It was great! An intimate group of only 5 people. The tour was a real treat. Our guide was charming and told us so many stories and details. I enjoyed every minute. The tour ended on a terrace with the most spectacular view across the center of ancient Rome.

My Review: The guide we had was very good. He spoke very well and had a lot to tell us. He was patient and very polite. Since the group was small, we shared the bus to the catacombs with another group, and their guide did the "running commentary" during the drive. He, too, was very friendly and had a lot of information. The tour was well organized and finished with a visit to the church of St. Clemente.

My Review: The guide was wonderful. Yet the timing, mid September and 9:30 was probably a bad combination. It was like the visitors of the Oktoberfest slotted through a labyrinth. The only place where it did not matter much, was the Sistine Chapel. And one did get to St. Peters without having to queue for Security again. Again the guide was superb. The organization impeccable. But the place was just too crowded to have any impression of the Museums.

My Review: Everything went very well. The group was rather small, the guide was super friendly and so competent and enthusiastic about her work that it was pure pleasure to listen. I'd do it again anytime!
