Milan Half-Day Sightseeing Tour with da Vinci's 'The Last Supper'

Milan, Italy

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
The trip was quite compact and nice. The guide was well read on Milan and everything being shown. The bus ride was for a very small time and most of it was a walking tour. The Last Supper was marvelous, you can watch it for hours, though we got only 15 minutes to see it. I felt a little rushed to complete the tour with my little 3 year old, can be a little relaxed.

Milan City Hop-on Hop-off Tour

Milan, Italy

My Rating
1 star rating: I do not recommend this

My Review
The hop-on hop-off bus was ok as the 2 lines give you a full city round trip which covers all Milan sightseeing places. But a few drawbacks, the buses are not frequent at all. Lots of waiting time for getting buses from each point. Also, it was raining that day and the staff was quite impolite and rude. I had my 3 year old with me and we tried to get onto the bus, but they did not let us in as that bus was full no free seats though plenty of space to stand and prevent us from getting drenched in the rain. We were asked to wait for next bus. They also waited for the next bus to come, so why not let us in and wait together for the nest bus rather than making us get drenched in the rain, that too with my 3 year old!

Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

Venice, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
Brilliant trip, absolutely loved it. The trip was nicely timed and was not overbooked. The ride through the Grand Canal was mind-blowing. My 3-yr old kid literally freaked out, as we occupied the seat at the end of the motorboat. Only issue I felt the time given in each island to visit the place was not enough. In Torcello we were a little short of time. It would have been better if Murano was 20 mins just the glass factory visit is enough, and Burano and Torcello was for 45 mins.

Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with St Mark's Basilica

Venice, Italy

My Rating
2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

My Review
This is certainly not for families with infants or children who use pushchairs or strollers. Venice by geographic design is a city of an innumerable number of bridges over its canals, and it's difficult to follow the guide, who walks very fast through them. Also, there were no head pieces or earphones provided, and most of the time, it was quite difficult to hear the guide! Also, you have to queue up for getting into St. Mark's Church, so no real jumping the line!

Venice Gondola Ride and Serenade

Venice, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Yes, it was a beautiful ride without being crowded and 45 minutes of pure pleasure on water in a gondola! We had booked the 7:30pm, and we requested an earlier time as my kid was tired after the entire day's walking in Venice. The guys were nice enough to adjust us for the 6:30pm ride! The songs during the ride was really romantic, and the gentlemen singing and playing the instruments were great. Brilliant trip, and would go back to this place definitely for more.

Skip the Line: Florence Accademia Gallery Tour

Florence, Italy

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
Entire Italy is about Michelangelo, and this is the place where his finest masterpiece, "David", is present. The statue in white marble is simply outstanding; it blows your mind away! The intricate details of the human body are so pristinely carved out, you can't do anything but just appreciate this for hours. There are statues of David sculpted by others scattered all over Florence, but nothing like the original!

Too bad that the tour was only for 2 hours, and more of it was about "David" than the Accademia Gallery, so I was tempted to suggest a change of the tour name to "Florence Accademia Gallery's David tour"! Another issue was that the tour company does not give any earpieces or headphones to hear the guide, so most of the time we are either missing out on what the guide was saying or standing on top of her! By the way, it's not really a "skip the line" entry to the gallery; we stood outside in the group entry side for 20 minutes in the rain before getting in.

Florence City Hop-on Hop-off Tour

Florence, Italy

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
The hop on, hop off bus service frequency at Florence was definitely much better than Milan's service. The Fiesole side of the bus trip was very scenic. And the Piazzale Michelangelo provides a breathtaking view of the city from the small hill top! Overall, had a good time with this tour.

Skip the Line: Florence Uffizi Gallery Tour

Florence, Italy

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
This was a good tour, the guide highly knowledgeable about the gallery. Enjoyed the Rafael, Boticelli, Da Vinci paintings and the history behind. Only issues were, there was no ear-piece headsets which helped us in listening to the guide better. So we missed out on some parts of the history which the guide was relating. Also, there was not much skipping the line, as we stood in the group entrance area and queued up to enter the gallery. But it was worth the visit because of the paintings.

Pisa and the Leaning Tower Half-Day Trip from Florence

Florence, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This was a great trip; we enjoyed a lot! The bus was quite nice, though it lacked a toilet, which other buses had. The driver was a very sweet gentleman who kept giving us food, water, and drinks from the bus at bus rates! The guide was awesome; she kept telling us the names and history of the places which appeared on the way to Pisa. The guide in Pisa was a letdown, though; she did not explain too much, and her English was quite difficult to understand! Pisa as a place was really good.

Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This was an awesome tour, and we loved every bit of it. We did skip the line, which was indeed quite huge. Our guide was a young lady and she was very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She gave a very detailed outline about the Vatican Museum and explained the Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms, and St. Peter's Church with a lot of enthusiasm and in-depth information. The ear pieces the tour conductors gave were also very nice, and we actually had a great time doing this.

Rome Hop-on Hop-off Double Decker Bus Tour

This was nice, but traffic is very heavy near the Rome Termini station from where the tour begins. The audio guide was good and the frequency of bus was okay.
