Romantic Road, Rothenburg and Harburg Day Tour from Munich

Munich, Germany

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Rothenburg was the most beautiful town that I have ever seen. The houses are very picturesque and it's an amazing place to take lots of photos. For those on a budget, I would recommend bringing your own food because the town is a bit of a tourist trap and food is expensive. I would've loved to have seen people in costumes walking around the town to entertain the tourists, but then that would be a bit like Disney World. Despite the minor negatives, I will still rate the tour 5 stars. In my opinion, not even the Neuschwanstein tour was as good as this one!

Romantic road - a bit boring
Harburg - It's Ok
Rothenburg - Perfect! Excellent!

Salzburg and Lake District Day Tour from Munich

Munich, Germany

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

The photos on this website of Salzburg, and especially the Lake District DOES NOT DO IT JUSTICE! Salzburg is a nice little town, interesting, and not expensive. The Lake District (and boat trip) was amazing! If you've ever been to Switzerland and loved the scenery, then you're going to love the Lake District. I have never in my life seen a place as green in summer, as the areas surrounding Salzburg (By the way, Salzburg is in Austria)

Neuschwanstein Castle Small Group Day Tour from Munich

My Review

This is a good tour. And if you have the tour guide called "Jeff", then this tour will be even better! Because he looks very well after his people. There is one thing you should be aware of... STEEP HILL TO WALK! Hang on... let me repeat this... STEEP HILL TO WALK! If you are overweight, then you ARE going to pant like a dog! I am not sure, but I think it takes about 30 minutes to walk the hill (You WILL be sweaty!). Do NOT underestimate the steep hill. There is a bus that offers to take people to the top, but the queue was very very long, and I would recommend this bus for the "physically challenged"

Once you get to the top you will no doubt walk to the bridge from where you will probably take your best photo in the whole of Germany. The tour inside the castle is run by staff from the castle itself, and I found it a bit boring. Afterwards, Jeff took us down the mountain where we saw waterfalls.

Jeff, thank you for walking up the hill, and then coming down halfway again (and again), to check up on the fatties :-)
