Great morning (except for the 98+ temp). Hotel pickup was on time and trip to Ostia was educational. The guide (didn't ever give his name) was very knowledgeable. The site had a lot of trees, the number and quality of the excavtions made it easy to imagine it as a thriving sea port. Would recommend the trip.

We've used "Viator's 'Skip the line" tours in Paris and London and as usuall it was well worth it. I always recommend skip the Line if available. Tour guides were both good, however Emanuela was exceptional for the morning Vatican portion. Very knowledgeable and enteraining. She kept an eye on the group and spoted several pepole who were having trouble with the extreme temps and took steps to see that nobody had to drop out because of the heat. The day we went temps were puhing 100 outside and 95 inside. I was really suprised to find that there was no AC inside most of the rooms in the Vatican. No AC and crowds that drove the temp up are the reason for only four Stars. Afternoon in the Basilica's away from the Vastican was somewhat better as there were no crowds. Would recommend this tour for anyone interested in art and history. It's primarily an art tour and not overly religious which some may think because of the name,
