The best part of this tour is El Escorial Monastery. This should be seen by everyone. I could have done without The Valley of the Fallen which is basically a monument a giant cross atop a hill where there are suppose to be thousands of people who were killed in the Spanish Civil War from both sides which you do not see their tombs or burial spot and where General Franco a Spanish dictator of that time is also buriedwhich you see his burial spot. Without the Valley of the Fallen tour, I would have rated this a 5 star.

Avila I could have done without it. The best part of going to Avila is seeing the wall city which is impressive. But the tour took us inside the wall city and that is where we saw very little 2 churches and the place St. Theresa of Avila was suppose to have been born at. Only stayed in Avila for about 1 hour... too little time and too little to see there. The wall part of the city is worth 5 stars but the inside for me is worth only 2 stars.
Segovia is a 5 star place to see. The Roman aqueduct there is amazing beautiful, which has survived over 1000 years already. We had more time there than in Avila.

The Madrid Card was nice and handy to enter certain museums and places quicker but not all the places listed for it use were located in Madrid or even in the center of Madrid. The Madrid Card book was useful and the directions how to get to the different places were included in the book. But some things listed for use of the Madrid Card were free or had very cheap entrance fee. You may be spending more buying the card than paying the entrance fees if you only see a few places but if you see a lot of places within the period of time you selected then it could be a bargain.

The Swarovski Crystal Worlds didn't interest me too much, their shop was much better than their museum. I give the Swarovski Crystal Worlds portion of this tour a 1 star only. The city of Innsbruck was much better as a whole.

This was lovely tour but would have wished we could have stayed there another hour or 2 to give us more time to see the whole city. All-in-all this was a wonderful tour to be on.

Went by train to Salzburg and the view was lovely, seeing the snow top alps in the distance. Saw various places where "The Sound of Music" was filmed. Lovely city to go back again to see.

Went at the wrong the of the year since winter refused to leave us. The gardens of the Royal Castle of Herrenchiemsee was bare and the fountains were still covered. Maybe if I went there 2-4 weeks later it might have been just a little bit warmer and the fountains would have been uncovered. Still viewing the interior of the castle was worth the trip.

A must place to see. Each person has to buy an entrance ticket and on the ticket itself has the time that you are allow to enter the castle. They limit the entrance group to a certain number of people but only at the designated time that is printed on the ticket itself. Lovely view from the castle to the town below but one has a long uphill walk from the town to the castle which can be tiring to some, especially to older people or those that are not in good physical shape. An alternative to the long uphill walk is being aboard a wagon pull by 2 horses. This is the famous "Fairy Tale Castle" that Walt Disney used as an example when building Disneyland and Disney World.
