This tour takes you through very small alley ways and beautiful piazzas that you wouldn't easily discover by yourself in a short space of time. Wonderful to skip the line at St Mark's!

The tour was absolutely worthwhile. We had only two days in Rome, and did the Vatican tour and the Ancient Rome and Colosseum Walking Tour. Walking by yourself, you will never gain the wealth of information, insights, and little bits of interesting facts that the English speaking tour leaders give you. We were so glad we missed the long queue of people standing in the scorching sun waiting to buy tickets! The tour includes three hours of walking, so if you have done walking for a number of days in a row, take good shoes! The Michaelangelo and Raphael art seen in the Vatican museum and the Sistine Chapel is breathtaking, and so is the St. Peter's Cathedral. The tour leader does not take you through the St Peter's Cathedral, but provides enough interesting facts about the Cathedral before leaving the group at the front entrance, where after you can walk through the Cathedral at your own pace. I have been to the Vatican City ten years ago, but did not join a tour, and I have missed so much then. This time, going there with the tour felt like I've seen it for the very first time. This really is a must for any visitor to Rome!

Our tour leader made the history come alive for us! It was clear that he has a wealth of knowledge and a lot of enthusiasm to share this knowledge. When visiting these sites, it is so difficult to fathom that you are standing on steps and paths and in buildings of which some have been built B.C. This is a must for any visitor to Rome!
