Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with St Mark's Basilica

My Review: I should start by saying that the day of our tour was cold, windy, and pouring down rain. It was raining and blowing so hard that umbrellas were useless. Therefore, my husband and I were disappointed that the tour guide still wanted to proceed with the normal tour despite the fact that it was a torrential down pour. We tried to go along with it, but couldn't hear anything because it was raining so hard. I know Viator has NOTHING to do with the fact that it was raining. However, I think it is unreasonable to make people walk around in the freezing, pouring rain. I asked if the tour guide could go to to St. Mark's first because of the weather and he said no. Like I said, we tried to play along but ended up walking back to our warm, dry hotel because we couldn't hear anything and were getting beyond soaked.

My Review: AWESOME!!! We were worried that the tour might get cancelled because my husband and I were the only people signed up for the tour but they still proceeded. Our tour guide, Mario was wonderful. Very informative and interesting. He took us around and stopped here and there to point our different points of interest. It was just myself, my husband, and Mario - and we didn't skimp on anything just because of the small crowd. The best part was getting to see the first work of Michelangelo - a wooden crucifix. Then he took us to a gelato place off the beaten path that makes all natural flavors. Green apple was out of this world! And, the gelato was included in the tour price. Great tour if you are new to Florence. I would say you need to be comfortable on a bike because you are biking most of the time on the street in traffic. WE LOVED IT!!

My Review: Great tour! Guide was excellent, and it wasn't just a tasting - there were four bottles to share between 7 people so there was plenty to go around at the vineyard. Gorgeous views of the Chianti region, better than you could imagine!

My Review: Much, much better than expected!! Our tour guide Davide was beyond good - we could hear him well and he kept the tour at a good speed. After the colosseum we toured the ruins near by which was fantastic! We got much more than we bargained for! Thank you Viator and Davide!
