Ancient Appian Way, Catacombs and Roman Countryside Bike Tour

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This was the best thing I experienced during my 5 day Roman holiday! The pace of this tour is not too fast, and it is a thrill to see the S. Callisto Catacombs, drive on the Via Appia, and see the Aqueducts. The wine and cheese were so tasty in Caffarella farm! Remember to take a water bottle with you. There are a couple of water springs where you can fill the bottle. It sure is an experience to drive the bike IN ROME, but not dangerous at all. Recommend it highly!

Ghost and Mystery Walking Tour of Rome

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

It was a great to experience Rome late in the evening, and hear stories one couldn't probably find in ordinary travel books. The tour took about 2 hours, and our guide Massimo was so enthusiastic and really knew what he was talking about. He took us in alleys and squares where a tourist would rarely find himself. In my opinion the stories are quite scary, so this tour may not be suitable for kids under 12 ys. But for adults it is more than worth the money spent!

Trastevere and Rome's Jewish Ghetto Half-Day Walking Tour

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This was a lovely tour in the Ghetto and in Trastevere area. It was nice to see Rome around the time sun was going down and to hear stories about the fate of the Roman Jews, to see the theater of Marcellus and walk in the narrow alleys of Trastevere. The Santa Maria in Trastevere is a magnificent church. Our guide was Janet, who had studied art history in Rome and knew her subject so well!

Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este Half-Day Trip from Rome

Rome, Italy

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

This was a good trip to Tivoli to see the Villa Adriana and the Villa d'Este. I wish there had been more time in Villa Adriana, I know there would have been much more to see. Villa d'Este was magnificent with the garden full of most gorgeous fountains. After seeing those fountains, the Trevi fountain doesn't impress that much anymore :)
