Private Tour: Perched Villages of the Luberon

My Review: We really enjoyed this tour. We had the same driver that we had had the day before anhd she was very good. She dropped one of the villages and started the tour in Aix as we had not had a chance to see it while we were in Marseilles. Unfortunately the van got a flat tire in the last village and this caused us to get back to the hotel an hour later than expected. The tour company worked hard to get us a replacement van so that we would not be delayed too long. This was not viatour but Provence tours. I was surprised to see that both of our booked tours were given off to other tour companys. I found this tour to be extremely expensive for this time of the year. I wish that we had waited until we got to marseilles to book. I wanted to go on this tour and a group tour was not available so we spent the big bucks and booked a private, when in fact the tour that we had the day before with the same guide was supposed to be a group tour and it turned out to be just the two of us for a lot less money. So word to the wise if you are going to visit at the beginning or end of the weason you can save yourself alot of money by booking when you get to your destination.

Italian Markets Shopping Tour from Nice

My Review: This was a very good tour but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and it poured buckets of rain. We did not really get to fully experience the ambiance of San Remo and the beauty of the Italian Riviera as it was so foggy. We had a driver from Med Tours that we had had earlier in the week which really helped to make the trip more enjoyable even with the rain. We were supposed to have some time in Menton but we were so exhausted after fighting the rain in San Remo that we just did a drive by. There were people on our tour that were supposed to spend some time in Monaco while we were in Menton so we spent an hour in Monaco again as we had already been there on Sunday. Thought that this would give us a chance to see the Cathedral but it was only open in the morning so we just went for a coffee as we had already done everything on Sunday.
