It's great having a ride ready and waiting to take you to the airport, especially when leaving so early in the morning like we did, but the driver and guide could have been a whole lot more friendlier. Also, make sure you come to the airport with boarding passes in hand if you have e-tickets and are expecting to print your boarding passes at the airport, get ready for a lot of hassle.

The trip was really good. We were able to walk into the pyramids, ride camels, and we also stopped by a papyrus institute, perfume shop, and carpet school though the guide and driver sometimes made comments that were a bit rude. Beware of the hasslers at the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx who are constantly attempting to put items in your hands or on you by telling you that it's a 'gift' and then demanding money.

The places visited were nice to go to but the guide sometimes seemed annoyed when questions were asked and sometimes was just rude. A lot of churches and nunneries in Coptic Cairo were passed while walking from the Hanging Church to Abu Serga and Ben Ezra but we received no information about them whatsoever.

Having a driver ready and waiting for us rather than having to worry about finding a taxi and bargaining with the driver or driving yourself in Cairo traffic made the transfer worth it. However, the tour leader could have been more helpful by talking more with us along the way rather than always to the driver to get my questions answered, there were many. I always had to interrupt the conversation between the tour leader and the driver. Also, at the hotel the tour leader immediately proceeded to take over the check-in process, speaking to the front desk agent in Arabic, even though we all speak English, and making changes to our reservation without our consent and it would have been greatly appreciated if he had not done so.

Though it started off a bit rocky, the trip was ok. The bus picked us up from our hotel 35 minutes late and not even a simple 'I'm sorry' from the guide. The boat was really crowded and because our bus arrived last it was tough getting good seats, but overall the trip was relaxing. I'd say that too little time was spent on Poros, too much time on Hydra, and just enough time on Egina if you purchase a bus tour of the island while on the cruise.
