Wartime London Tour: The City and Imperial War Museum

My Review: This is an amazing tour! The restored vintage bus is beautiful, and even has advertisements from the time period. The overall tour experience is very special. In addition to the commentary from the guide, there is also music from the period as well as recorded speeches.The booklet of wartime photos is also really useful, and the guide spends a lot of time comparing the photos with the scenes that you see today. It is hard to imagine what London was like during the wartime, but this adds a really special dimension to any trip to London, and really takes you back in time.

My Review: What a great way to see London! Cycling along the Thames was spectacular, and a chance to see pretty much 2000 years of British history, and all of the famous landmarks like the Globe, Westminster, the London Eye, and the Tower of London The guide was from London and covered this huge amount of history in a understandable way with great facts and funny stories. He also helped made sure that we cycled along safe areas. Being able to stop for a while in Borough Market for lunch was also a treat. Overall, just a great overview of London!

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre Tour and Exhibition

My Review: Firstly, the exhibition is a great way to see the context around London theater during the time of Shakespeare. You get a great sense of what life was like back then, and why people loved the theatre. And then the tour of the actual theater is amazing with a interesting tour guide. It is really fascinating to see how the theater would have looked when Shakespeare's plays were originally being performed there. A real London experience!

Athens Small-Group Food Tour

My Review: This tour brought a whole new side of the city to life! Cleary, the guide was passionate about introducing us to the authentic side of the city, from the small cafes and delis to the fresh markets and herb shops, but always brought it back to how it fits with the Greek way of live we saw around us. It was a great and relaxing way to experience some of the most interesting parts of the city but also learn how important different types of food have been in the Greek Culture.

My Review: This tour was a perfect introduction to the city, and a great way to understand the history of this city! The guide pointed out things we would not have noticed if we had been walking around the city, and really brought it to life. Even though it was really warm outside, the guide made sure we were walking or standing in shaded areas and it was a really relaxed stroll around the city, gardens, and Acropolis. The guide also had photos to really help us understand the history of Greece.
