Ayutthaya: Experience Thailand’s History
Travel Recommendation
Location: Thailand
My Recommendation Tip:
Ayutthaya is located around 80 kilometers north of Bangkok in Thailand. It was one of the most prosperous cities of Indo-China and one of the most famous historical attractions in Thailand. The magnificence of Ayutthaya is reflected by various majestic structures and ruins that are concentrated in and around the city island that is surrounded by the Pa Sak, Chao Phraya and Lop Buri Rivers. If you are a tourist fascinated by the grandeur of the city, you can hire a private tour guide or you can do it on your own. However, I would recommend hiring a private tour guide for smooth and easy traveling into the attractive points of Ayutthaya.

Up the River Without a Paddle at the Bangkok Floating Markets
Travel Recommendation
Location: Bangkok
My Recommendation Tip:
I was at the floating markets the other day, and saw two couples pay 5,000B between them for a one hour boat ride around the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. I was saddened.

Chinese New Year in Bangkok
Travel Recommendation
Location: Bangkok
My Recommendation Tip:
The 2012 New Year’s celebration is over. But for 1.4 billion Chinese in China, they are just starting the process of preparing for the Chinese New Year on January 23, 2012.

Celebrating the New Year in Bangkok
Travel Recommendation
Location: Bangkok
My Recommendation Tip:
After all the flood problems of previous months around Bangkok, the Thai people prefer to leave the bad memory behind and look forward to the New Year with a smile. The Bangkok Countdown Ha Ha Ha 2012 is so named because on the Buddhist calendar, next year will be 2555 and 5 is pronounced in Thai as Ha (as in noise you make when you laugh), so this should give you the feel for the expected mood of 2012.

Viator Travel Update: Thailand
Travel Recommendation
Location: Bangkok
My Recommendation Tip:
There is no need to cancel plans to visit Thailand, but you might have to adjust them in order to get around the giant puddle of water in the central plains. News reports do show a lot of devastation, but there are so many places to visit in this large diverse country that you can easily still spend a month-long holiday here and avoid the flood effected areas.
