New Orleans Cooking Class

My Review: Our cooking class was perfect. It should actually be called a demonstration rather than a hands on class. Our chef/host Sandra was great. She also works as a tour guide, so she provided a lot of history with the class. She started with the dessert (bread pudding) first, so it could bake while she prepared the the other dishes. First course: Shrimp and Artichoke soup. Something I never would have ordered had I seen it on a menu. It was Delicious!! Main course: Crawfish Etoufee. Better than the soup!! Followed by Bread Pudding and fresh made Pralines. Generous seconds were available for all dishes. Also included were water, iced tea and beer. All in all, it was a delightful 2-1/2 hours. We went to the 10:00 am. class and could not eat for the rest of the day. We had to cancel our 10:00 pm. dinner reservations. We were still full. I would highly recommend this class. They give you all of the recipes. And, if you are the cook at home, it's always better to see the dish being prepared to learn a few " tricks of the trade".
