Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour
Venice, Italy
My Rating

This tour was certainly a waste of time. When you arrive in Murano, you are quickly rushed through a very short glass blowing demo and then whisked into the shop to buy at prices much higher than the mainland and lot less choice. Buy your glass in Venice where the choice is never ending. Torcello was full of cats and nothing else really to see. Burano was lovely to see.

Venice Walking Tour and Gondola Ride
Venice, Italy
My Rating

The Gondola ride was lovely but we were squeezed in, I would have preferred a private ride. Our walking tour guide was wonderful. She took us around the 'back streets' and showed us many areas you would otherwise not see. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Tuscany in One Day Sightseeing Tour
Florence, Italy
My Rating

Tall people beware! My husband is 6'4" and I am only 5'11", but neither of us were able to fit into the coach seats - leg wise; we physically could not get our legs in. Luckily the coach was not full and we were able to sit in the back row of the coach. The traditional Italian lunch was fine, but we have had better traditional Italian food at a farm setting in Australia!
Our guide was excellent and very attentive, she did a great job of getting us around our destinations.

This was fantastic. A lot of fun and very informative. My 11 year old son had a great time. Absolutely get a taxi to this venue, it does not cost much and really the only way to get there.

Skip the Line: Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Tour
Rome, Italy
My Rating

Skipping the line is a must for the Vatican museum, do not try and do it any other way. The queues that we by passed were unbelievably long. Our tour guide was outstanding. The only down side is that there is no chance to visit the 'shops' with in the Vatican to purchase mementoes, instead the tour group take you to their affiliated shop that is not a touch on all of the ones in the Vatican.

Black Forest and Strasbourg Day Trip from Frankfurt
Frankfurt, Germany
My Rating

Our tour guide was excellent, and considering the terrible weather, she did extremely well in altering our itinerary on the spot to cater for the sudden torrential down pour of rain and the blizzard conditions that hit on this day. I feel that a lunch stop should be included instead of the lunch that was supplied as part of the tour:- stale cheese sandwiches! and that was it.

Small-Group Gourmet Christmas Tour of Paris
Paris, France
My Rating

This was a wonderful, personalized tour lead by a true gentleman, who took incredible care in ensuring the tour was suitable for us and our son. This was a great opportunity to stroll the back streets of Paris to find hidden gems and collect the 13 deserts of Christmas that we then shared over tea at our final destination. Highly recommend this tour.

Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris
Paris, France
My Rating

A very comfortable and hassle free drive to Versailles will pleasant commentary. We chose the unguided option as we prefer to go at our own speed through an attraction, especially as we have an 11 year old with us! We chose well. Half a day was enough, as during winter there is not much of the gardens to see. You would need longer in summer.

Paris Chocolate and Pastry Food Tour
Paris, France
My Rating

A very yummy, must do tour. A great way to see the hidden treasures found in the back streets of Paris. Definitely take a "doggy box" to put samples in, you can't eat all that you collect. Our guide was very helpful in ensuring there were samples suitable for our 11 year old, as many chocolates had alcohol in them! A wonderful start to our time in Paris and orientation to Paris.

Paris City Tour, Seine River Cruise and Eiffel Tower
Paris, France
My Rating

This was a very "bitty" tour. We arrived at the bus tour start point that we had confirmed the day before to find it was closed for the winter! There was A very unclear sign directing us to another office not far away( thank goodness). The bus tour around the city was fine. We were then dropped off at the tower to another guide who took us into the tower and left us with vague instructions on how to get to the jetty for the boat cruise. The boat cruise was nice, but not very comfortable for tall people; there was not enough leg room between the seats on the boat so my husband( 6'4") and I (5'11") were not able to sit for the duration of the cruise. Getting back to our hotel was now a challenge as we were unable to get a taxi, as the area around the tower was incredibly busy, so we walked the 1 hour back to where we were staying. We were lucky it was a lovely evening for a stroll along the seine river which was all lit up beautifully for Christmas. I do not feel this tour was worth it, you are better off doing this yourself.
