Sadly, this trip was boring. The leader had little personality, we were cramped in a little van, long drive, no conversation, no music...the wine tasting was really just a sales pitch. We had no time to even peek into the windows of the shops...actually we had about 10 minutes in a few places, but lots of time in the wineries where they wanted us to buy. I feel like I wasted my money on this one.

Do not miss this one! It was 2 days in paradise! The hotel was suberb, the tour guide was hysterical, and it didn't hurt that the 6 people on this trip together became family...how could you not when you are touring such a beautiful area of Italy! DO THIS ONE!!!!

Orvietto and Assisi are cute little towns. We had adequate time to shop and the tour leader was good. We climbed around Assisi and passed shops everyone wanted to go in, but we had to go to the church first, and then didn't have time to find the places we wanted to visit.

First, our tour guide was excellent. She knew what she was talking about and kept us fascinated with the history of the area all morning...Very strenuous walking though folks, so if you can't walk up hills and high steps...don't take this tour. Just really enjoyed the group, the history and the half day!

All I can say is DO THIS. The walking tour guide was amazing...she even took us to a different church because we had a french couple with us. Our teacher was PERFECT and he really taught us how to make ravioli and cavatelli and then we got to eat what we made. He was delightful. We went back for dinner a few nights later and were welcomed like family. TAKE THIS TOUR!!!

It was OK....nothing special.
