Red Rock Canyon Tour

My Review: We enjoyed this short tour to Red Rock Canyon. The local company was Casino Tour and Travel. They were considerate enough to pick us up at an alternate location with just a few minutes notice when we informed them that we were running late. The tour guide Lud gave us some good insight on the history of the canyon and the local vegetation. The views along the scenic loop are spectacular. It was quite cold but the snow covered mountain tops made for some excellent pictures. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of the Strip.

Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam Day Trip from Las Vegas with Optional Skywalk

My Review: We had a great time exploring the Grand Canyon and the Hualapai Ranch on this day long tour. The tour starts early and you have to wait for the shuttle bus to pick up people from the different hotels. Then they take everyone to a transfer facility (run by AirBridge), check your tickets, give you time for a quick breakfast and put you on the double decker bus. The buses are comfortable and clean and our driver Dwayne was funny and knowledgeable. He kept us entertained for the whole trip. The last 10 miles or so is just a dirt road which gets a bit bumpy. The views from Eagle and Guano point are splendid. The lunch at Hualapai ranch was good and had vegetarian options too. There are shuttle buses between the points and the ranch so you are pretty much on your own and can spend as much time as you want at each place. We had to start back a little early because they were expecting a foot of snow later. All in all, a day well spent and highly recommended.
