Efficient Pick Up but nothing to write home about - Vans used are older style and not all seat belts were working.
The Tour was operated by a local tour operator who to be frank abuse the privelege of their customers.
The coach was first class and comfortable. First stop was a Truck stop that had 20 others buses at it, so was very busy and a long line to the restrooms. Next stop was Naples which quite honestly is an absolute waste of time. They park the bus at the port carpark and you have a walking "tour" lasting about an hour that is as interesting as watching grass grow. Many reviews have begged for this part to be left out and the time spent at Pompeii which I 100% agree with.
Lunch was preceeded by a "Jewellery Factory" visit - the first abuse of the customer - which wasted half an hour. Lunch followed which was very basic and then a guided tour of Pompeii which was excellent. Vintoro was our guide and he was good. Having said that we could have used twice the 2 1/2 hours set aside for Pompeii.
Next stop was our Hotel in Sorrento which was the Ambascatori. A magnificent position on the edge of the cliff overlooking Naples Bay.
Next morning saw us collected by bus and dposited to a "furniture Factory" - the second abuse of our time - which was foillowed by a half hour wait at the port for the ferry. This 1 1/4 hours could have been used getting an earlier ferry to give more time at Capri which was limited to 10 minutes!!!
Lunch at Annacapri was just OK.
The Tour Guides on this Tour changed constantly and a few were bordering on rude.
We had done the same Tour 2 years before and enjoyed it. This time everything seemed to be rushed and unfriendly.
I would recommend you look elsewhere!!
Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
We had a young Irish girl for this Tour and she was great. Plenty of information provided but not so much as to overload you and make you wish she would be quiet.
You MUST climb the Dome all the way to the top. Quite a trip but the view is simply magnificent.
Great Tour as it shows you a lot in a short amount of time.
An early start saw us in the basement of the Collosseum and up to the normaly closed 3rd level. WOW...
Once again just the right level of informaion provided without overloading us, allowing the views to tell theirow story as well.
This is a MUST onyour Rome trip..
Our Walkabout Tours guide and coach were first class. A day full of new experiences and at the end you wonder how you could put so much into the day. Lunch at the Tuscan farmhouse is simply wonderful.
And YES book the Pisa Tower option and clim the Leaning Tower. Great view and great experience.
If you want quick access to St Marks go on this Tour, but after an hour we had information overload and decided to skip the second half.
