Location: Los Cabos, Mexico
My Review: Quite frankly, the waverunner is about a 9.569 on a scale from 1 – 5 . After a brief training the fun had began. I had a great time and looking forward to my next cruise and tours.

Butchart Gardens Tour from Victoria
Tour / Activity
Location: Victoria, Canada
My Review: This is the best and easiest way to see Butchart Gardens from Victoria. Everything is included in the price, including your entrance tickets – just sit back and enjoy the ride on a new and clean motorcoach. Our Driver Dave was very nice and provided some city history and highlights on the way the Gardens. You can choose to return on any of the shuttles back to Victoria, so you can stay for any length of time that you want. This made our visit very relaxing as we didn’t need to “hurry” to catch a specific departure. Don’t make the mistake of taking a Taxi – they are very expensive since its 30 mins each way from Victoria City Center.

Butchart Gardens
Attraction
Location: Victoria
My Review: The Viator tour is the best way to see the Gardens with the easy shuttle-like service during the summer. It can get crowded when Cruiseships are in port, but its still worth a visit. There are plenty of areas to check out - Sunken Garden (our favorite), Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Star Pond, Italian Garden, Piazza, Ross Fountain and even the boat launch area is very cool at Butchart Cove.

Lunch at the London Garden Museum
Travel Recommendation
Location: London
My Recommendation Tip:
Looking for something really unique for lunch in London? Check out lunch at the London Garden Museum at Lambeth Palace Road, London SE1 7LB. Filled with locals (almost no tourists) with a unique and good vegi lunch menu. The food is very good, not many options but if you are looking for something different (rather than another basket of Fish and Chips or fast-food take-out) -- this is the place. Plus you can spend some time checking out the Museum, gift shop and surrounding Gardens. Its a great break from the busy areas of Trafalgar Square or Piccadilly Circus. Its walking distance from the London Eye - just head south on walk path by the River Thames. Look for the Museum on across the road right before the Lambeth Bridge.

Friday Harbor Day Trip & Whale Watching from Seattle
Tour / Activity
Location: Seattle, Washington
My Review: This is by far the easiest way to see Orcas and visit Friday Harbor from Seattle. The boat picks you up right from the Downtown Seattle docks and takes you non-stop to the San Juans. There is a Naturalist onboard who points out all the things to see along the way. After a brief stop in Friday Harbor, a smaller group continues on the Whale and Sealife tour. We were able to get on the bow of the ship (very cool!) and watch the Orcas swim right by us. The Naturalist knew each Orca’s name – we saw Ruffles, Double Stuff, Oreo and others…all from the J-pod of local Orcas. On the way back, you spend 2 hours in Friday Harbor where you can visit the Whale Museum and pick-up an early dinner to go – check out the Market Café or The Hungry Clam, both on A Street. On the trip back to Seattle, you get great views of Downtown Seattle. Make sure to bring sunglasses, a jacket and a well charged camera for photos.

Go Seattle™ Card
Tour / Activity
Location: Seattle, Washington
My Review: This card offers a TON of options including some very cool things to do outside Seattle. I decided to use it for things around the Seattle Center in the morning, this included the Space Needle, EMP (Experience Music Project), the Science Fiction Museum. Later in the day, I used it to visit the Museum of Flight down near Boeing field. The EMP was very interesting with a Jimi Hendrix area, plus lots of other exhibits including one about the Supremes. The Science Fiction Museum is a must for any sci-fi watcher. They had everything from Yoda and ET to tons of Star Trek memorabilia. The GO Card was super easy to use and each place took it without issue. The card can also be used for a round-trip on the Seattle Monorail, which travels from the Space Needle to downtown Seattle and nearby Pike Place Market. The Museum of Flight was fantastic with tons of planes - be sure to walk over to the airpark to check out a Concorde and Air Force One. You can even go inside a few of the planes! One tip - check the list of venues and plan your day ahead of time to maximize your savings.

Kayak and Snorkel - South Shore Turtle
Tour / Activity
Location: Maui, Hawaii
My Review: This was the highlight of our trip to Maui! Even though we stayed in Kaanapali, we did the south shore Kayak tour off Makena Landing and we were glad we did. Even the drive to Makena (via the town of Kihei) shows yet another side of Maui often not seen by those staying north of Lahaina. Our Guide Brandon was great – he was very easy going and experienced. Viator’s small group tour is much better for kayaking as we saw another company with at least 12 people which looked not as enjoyable. The kayaking is very easy, everyone was able to launch and get in and out of their kayak. Our Snorkel spot was great and we saw a number of turtles, fish and plenty of sea life living off the coral reef. When we had a question about what types of fish we saw, Brandon was right there with the answer. It was a great morning of kayaking and snorkeling without the crowds. I highly recommend this for any visit to Maui – it is something different and memorable.

Iao Valley
Attraction
Location: Maui
My Review: Nice and easy place to visit if you need a break from the Beach and Sun. There is a single trail, with stairs, leading up to the lookout point to view the needle. (You dont actually get to the needle itself). Some lower trails wrap around by the stream and loosely maintained gardens next to the entrance. The park is open at 7am and closes at 7pm everyday. There are restrooms but no water for drinking. The park is free, but sadly they now charge $5 per car for parking. Baltimore Arrival Transfer: to Washington DC
Tour / Activity
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
My Review: Friendly staff, arrived on a Sunday morning and was on our way within about 10 mins. They exchange your voucher for a number boarding pass. This allows you to sit indoors and relax until your boarding pass number is called - no having to wait in lines outside in the cold. Driver was nice and professional.
