Montreal City Guided Sightseeing Tour

Montreal, Canada

My Review

This was a great way to see all of the city, our driver Angelo was great. He stopped several places including Notre Dame, which we had time to tour, other stops for photos and quick breaks wereSt. Joseph's Oratory, Olympic Tower, and the Montreal Overlook which was a great view!! Angelo also was a wealth of knowledge he included the metro station information for other big attractions like the Botanical Gardens and Bio Dome so we were able to revisit the next day with easy. Also recommended the best poutine in town a little hole in the wall name La Banquise which was out of this world wonderful and just a quick metro ride away from our hotel. This tour is well worth the money and great way to get your bearings and see the entire city :)

Quebec City and Montmorency Falls Day Trip from Montreal

Montreal, Canada

My Review

Quebec City was absolutely beautiful!!! We visited in July and the city was like Paris in the spring time with super nice people and it was much cleaner :) This excursion was well worth the travel time and money, however I agree with other I could have passed on the boat trip and been just fine. The water was a bit rough and several people got motion sickness included myself. The falls are very small and far away, and do not in any way compare to Niagara falls. The boat was old and worn it is a wonder that we made back at all. Enough of the boat portion obviously I was not a fan. The city tour of Quebec was nice, the restaurants were great, and I could have shopped for hours so many great stores with a European flair. So all in all a great tour minus the boat portion.

Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's

Rome, Italy

My Review

This was a fun tour and well worth the money. You get to see a lot of thing in one spot. The Museum was great loads of antiquities to see. The Sistine Chapel is amazing we had a great tour guide that explained what to look at prior to going in. There are no pictures allowed inside and it is kept very quite by the security guards. St. Peter's was nice as well it was very crowded even though it had begun to snow. Which FYI was a nightmare- apparently the cab drivers in Rome don't carry insurance so every cab in the city disappeared as soon as the first snow flake fell, so it was a long walk to the metro in the snow.

Paris in One Day Sightseeing Tour

Paris, France

My Review

This tour is really the best way to see a lot in a little bit of time. We were passing though Paris and only in town for a day. We saw all the highlights. There were 6 of us so we took up the entire small group tour with only 1 other couple with us, it was like a private tour. We jumped the que at the louve for all the important works of arts Mona Lisa, Venus, etc. The boat ride was more or a city shuttle making a few stops in between but still nice, however it was a glass in closed boat no fresh air and the river was a little bumpy so if you are prone to motion sickness take some dramamine and you'll be fine. Then we jumped the que at the effle tour and went straight to lunch which was the first floor of the Effle tower. There was not enough time to go all the up to the top since it was a Saturday the lines were crazy long, and was two more elevators rides up to the top but there was a small trinket shop on the same level as the restaurant which is probably 10 stories up. Then it was off to Norte Dame the only "free" no charge church I saw in all of Europe. It was beautiful but very crowded hence it is free. The tour ends there but we opted for some excellent hot cocoa directly across the river from Norta Dome and walked our way back to Gare de Lyon. Which as a side note- the hotel above had lockers to store our luggage in for the day while we were out.

Avila and Segovia Day Trip from Madrid

Madrid, Spain

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

This was a super fun trip and all the reviews we read are absolutely on target with the tour we received. Avail was nice but rushed you get to the church right by mass starts to see it all lit up but you have to rush out. No real time to shop unless you just quickly break off and catch back up. It was cool to see Saint Theresa's finger. The city is very hilly so wear comfortable shoes because it is a hike, and it is very cold up in the mountains no matter how warm Madrid is so take a coat you will need it. Segovia is amazing you have time to shop or get lunch but not both. My husband and I opted out of the lunch package and it allowed us a little bit of time to shop prior to the 2 pm roll up the street siesta time where everything closes. Which was when we took the castle tour it was beautiful. Then a long hilly, walk back to the coach on cobblestone pavers at a very rapid pace, we are mid 30's and found the walk difficult so be ready.

Berlin Supersaver: Hop-on Hop-off City Tour and Skip the Line Entry to TV Tower

Berlin, Germany

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

This was a nice way to see the entire city. Our pass was actually good for two days since they close early in the winter months, last bus left at 4:30 to be finished by 6 pm and they mean it. The only thing we did not care for was the departure point was across town from where we were staying and you must start there, tours begin at 9 am but you must be to the TV tower by 11 am according to the aviator website. We actually arrived at 8:50 am and were told by the ticket agent that we were late, buses started at 8:00 am and we might not make it to the TV tower by 11 am tour time. We were worried and it kind of ruined the city tour part, but when we got to the TV tower at 11:20 am they did not seem to care at all. So all that worry for no reason, all in all it was a great way to see the city.

Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath Day Trip from London

London, United Kingdom

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This was a great tour, and I would recommend it to anyone going to London. We were able to see 3 major sites all in one day. Windsor was great we even caught the changing of the guard and saw Mary's doll houses which was fun. Stonehenge was amazing great gift shop to pick up trinkets, but take a coat it is pretty windy out there and even though it was a sunny January day it was quite chilly, I guess we were lucky not to have snow. Bath was very interesting and the city was great too, being out last stop we had plenty of time to shop and explore the city. The buses were clean and comfortable which was great because it was a long ride. Our tour guide was amazing, great stories and wonderful sense of humor. In fact the tour as a whole was amazing, there was a booking issue that we were booked on the wrong day and wit as expired when we got to London, but they all worked with us and still honored the tour, we just had to change the date we went since our previous tour date was full. They provided a shuttle to pick us up 2 blocks from our hotel and transport us to Victoria Station which made transportation even easier, and they also dropped us off when in two blocks of our hotel too.
