Classical Rome City Tour

This turned into a bit of a route march. Far too many people and no time allowed to stop and take photographs. There are similar tours on here that would be far better.

Pompeii and Amalfi Coast Small Group Day Trip from Rome
Rome, Italy
My Rating

A long day, but what a day.
I was picked up at my hotel before 7am and a small group of nine of us enjoyed an amazing day. Both our guide and driver were well informed and there were plenty of photo stops along the Amalfi Coast and tips of where to go and what to buy when we made stops in Amalfi and Positano.
Our guide in Pompeii was very informative and the sights there were truly amazing, especially the almost complete baths and houses.
Having said that, the one thing that will leave you opened mouthed is the quality of the driving around Naples. Better than any rollercoaster and those of a nervous disposition may want to shut their eyes at that point.

Skip the Line: Ancient Rome and Colosseum Half-Day Walking Tour
Rome, Italy
My Rating

Another Dark Rome Tour that was extremely well put together. If you only have one early morning in Rome, make sure you book the 8.30 underground tour. It is only really from the inner bowels of The Colosseum that you can really see what a fantastic structure it was.
Our guide, Sabrina, was well informed and funny, making the tour a great experience.

Viator VIP: Sistine Chapel Private Viewing and Small-Group Tour of the Vatican's Secret Rooms
Rome, Italy
My Rating

Amazing tour and one thing you will appreciate after a few days in Rome, a tour away from the crowds. I feel incredibly privileged to have been able to sit in The Sistine Chapel for an hour with eight other people admiring the artwork. Also enjoyed relaxed viewings of the other amazing displays in the Museums such as the Hall of maps and Raphael Rooms. Expensive but absolutely worth it.

Rome Arrival Shuttle Transfer: Airport to Hotel
Rome, Italy
My Rating

Arrived at the airport and followed the instructions to get to the companies check in desk, only to find it shut! It took two hours to fly to Rome from London and a further three and a half to get to my hotel.
I had booked the return trip but decided to go by train instead. Very easy and only 30 minutes.
