While we enjoyed this tour the itinerary was less comprehensive than advertised. Our visit to the temple was fairly short and we did not see the pool of longevity with the turtles and the visit to the Botanic gardens simply did not take place. When we asked the guide about this he said the gardens were only visited when the hill railway was closed for maintenance.

This trip was slightly disappointing. It was difficult to hear the commentary made worse by the "exuberant" behaviour of some of the non English speaking guests. The trip around the bay was OK but there was limited things to see and we were dropped off on an island (which was basically a shrine and site for an annual religious festival where there was nothing to do) for about 40 minutes i.e. we were only at sea for slightly less than 90 minutes

This was an excellent tour. The size of the group was just right, the meal in a somewhat obscure but nonetheless interesting Chinatown venue was very good. This put us in the right frame of mind for the Trishaw trip which was quite exhilarating especially when the "whacky" races began! A bit of time doing the compulsory shopping in the market was OK and the night boat trip along the river from Clarke Quay was both colourful and informative. The guide was excellent (Andrew) and this sometimes can make all the difference. The only criticism I would make relates to the pick-up arrangements at the beginning of the tour which seemed somewhat cumbersome and unnecessarily time consuming.
