I booked a tour with the English speaking guide. There was nowhere in description said that this would be a bilingual tour. My husband and I tried bilingual tours before and realized that it doesn't work for us. Guides on this tours are usually limited on what and how they give information and talk. B/c they have to make sure to do it first in one language then another. So the tour is usually is very dry and recited.
And it didn't work again. The guide's native language was Spanish. Her English was not good enough to jump between 2 languages. She was pleasant but it was very hard to understand her. I hoped, that because our group was pretty large and pretty equally divided between language, at least we will be split for a local tour in Girona. But no.... it was even worse because of walking and street noises... and the guide sounded even more recited. It was like a first grader reciting a poem.
This is not the first tour I booked through Viator. But this definitely was the worst.
We took this tour with 3* hotel option. All hotels are very good and clean in very good locations - walking distance to city centers. I would highly recommend this option, if that what you care about.
Everything was well organized, on schedule and very informing. Our tour director Carlos was very professional and pleasant.
I only wish they would include a guided tour of Alcazar in Seville. It should've been at least an optional. We spent about 1 hour on the line to get there b/c this is a MUST in Seville, as well as the Cathedral.
Otherwise everything was to our taste: a good mix of guided tours and free time to explore cities on your own.
