Enjoyed the day at Floriade 2012. The bus transportation was comfortable. The guide was well versed and had good suggestions on how to spend the day. While I was a little disappointed that Floriade did not have more in the way of new or unusual plant varieties, there were plenty of gardens to enjoy, an amazing collection of orchids on display and some pretty good food offerings in the pavilions,
My star rating is a split rating. I would give no more than 2 stars for the first part of this tour but 4 stars for the 2nd. First part of this trip (Windmills, Marken and Volendam) was like a cattle drive. 93 passengers on a "hop-on, hop-off" style bus with "hop-on, hop-off" narration. Stops too short to relax and with 93 passengers it was impossible to see the demonstrations, enjoy the shops, get waited on for lunch. The 2nd part (Delft, the Hague and Madurodam) was more in line with what I expected from a Viator tour 35 passengers on a comfortable bus with an hour or more at the stops. The Hague was a drive by tour but the miniatures at Madurodam gave more detailed views of the buildings we had just seen.
Good value for the money. Only suggestion to change is skip the breakfast or find another location. Breakfast ok but hard to get a cup of coffee and refills nonexistant. Would rather have met a little later and eaten on our own.
