Did not enjoy this tour at all. We had a less-than-enthusiastic tour guide who walked so slowly that it put us to sleep. It was also advertised as an English tour but we had some Spanish people in the group which meant that the tour guide had to speak in English and Spanish. We did not learn much on the tour and could have done all of it by ourselves. Definitely not worth the money spent. I am sure this depends on the guide you get and we were just unlucky.
The title of this tour needs to be changed. It should be Alhambra and Generalife Gardens Day Trip (plus lunch in Granada) from Seville. The title of the tour indicates that you get to see and explore Granada and also visit the Alhambra. But it is quite the opposite. The most part of the trip is spent in the Alhambra and the gardens. Then you get about 1.5 hours for lunch and quick exploration of Granada. Not possible to explore as by the time you get your food and eat, it's time to walk to your meeting point, which takes about 20 minutes. Also we did not find the Alhambra absolutely amazing because the same architecture can be found in the Alcazar in Seville. But we can say we've done the Alhambra at least. If you don't do it, you're not missing out. Just visit the Alcazar in Seville. We found that amazing!
Unfortunately it was a rainy and very cold day in the mountains. Most of us were not prepared with umbrellas and warm clothing (especially because Barcelona was so hot!). So spent most of the day avoiding the rain and trying to keep warm. Thus did not explore the area properly. Also the guide comes with you on the bus and when you get there, he quickly tells you the things you can do but then you are left to explore this vast area on your own. We thought it would be a guided tour but we were obviously wrong. All in all not an enjoyable experience due to terrible weather and lack of guidance.
We had a very enthusiastic and friendly tour guide (name was Feliciano if not mistaken). He did a very good job of explaining the history and answering questions. Did not have to line up in the heat outside the Sagrada Familia. Got in straight away. Definitely a worth while tour to do.
I cannot emphasize enough how necessary it is to go on this tour. Do not give the Dachau concentration camp a miss if you go to Munich. it is raw, touching, emotional, informative and you will learn things that you never knew.
We had an amazing guide. Pity his name escapes me. He was very tall and broad and is German. Spoke excellent English. He took us on a journey during this tour and made you feel like you were there when it happened. He treated the information and place with respect and it really felt like this was his first tour as he gave so much of himself. This was the one tour that had an impact on us and we will never forget it.
