The tour guide was great (forgot her name). Loved the small group of 8 and the pick up at the hotel. Great sites to see - only complaint is that we did not get enough time at each spot. The tour is set up as a morning and afternoon tour. You can buy one or the other or both times. We did the whole day so we came back to Avignon to drop off the morning only people and get the afternoon only people. An afternoon couple was late and we waited half hour for them. The guide did extend the trip which was nice. Seem silly to double back to town but all in all a great day!!! Loved the Roman ruins - some of the best in Europe!!!
Absolutely had the best day! There was a full bus of us and we all had smiles and such a great time. Forgot the guides name (bald guy who lived in Michigan) he was awesome. We also had another guide who was learning the trip - Georgia was her name and she was great. Wonderful information but not too much if you just want to see the sites. I am a histoty freak so I could not get enough. The lunch was delicious and the wine was good but the location was just fabulous - like a movie setting. Everyone kept saying that they were ready to buy houses and live in Tuscany. A truly relaxed and enjoyable day!!!
Sadly we took the tour on a rainy drery day but it sort of made Hamlet's Castle a little more real. I thought it was going to be a more guided tour but the bus driver just takes you to the locations and basically gives you the tckets and you do it on your own. Thats great for some and it was fine for us - depend on how you like a tour. Very enjoyable day - bring an umbrella as Denmark can be wet
