Washington D.C., District of Columbia
After seeing the monuments and memorials by day, it was great to see them so beautifully lit. It really was quite a special experience. However, the bus was a big, old bus with an aisle so narrow that even the smallest of adults had difficulty getting to their seats without bumping into those already seated. The tour guide was difficult to understand and delivered his spiel as though he was on autopilot! One lady tripped and fell in the dark returning to the bus. There was no first aid kit on the bus - the only assistance she was given was a lukewarm bottle of water. This was of little use for a bump on her head and a cut knee!! I'm glad I saw this beautiful city by night, but this tour could have been so much better. Maybe it was just this particular bus. The two other buses were smaller and far newer.
