Budapest Parliament House Tour

My Review: The Parliament House is a wonderful building with lots of incredible detail to see inside. The best part of the tour was that it allowed us to skip the line and enter the building with almost no waiting. The worst part was that we saw only a fraction of the building and that a security guard accompanied the group the entire way urging us to move forward, telling us where we could stand, etc. Our guide was competent and spoke very good English.

Budapest Night Walking Tour and River Cruise

My Review: Our cruise was on a beautiful clear night. The well-lit glowing buildings of Budapest reflected in the river as we cruised by giving us great photo opportunities. Some of the people on the boat had a buffet dinner included and it was kind of awkward for those of us who did not. Prior to the cruise, the tour through the city at night was marvelous. We had a small group, a great guide, and the pace was perfect.

My Review: Great tour in a half of a day! Our pickup at the hotel was very prompt and convenient and our guide was full of detail regarding all aspects of the city. Stops were well planned - including details like being dropped off at the top of a sight and meeting the bus below.

Prague Castle Walking Tour

My Review: Although we had seen parts of the castle area on the previous day, this in-depth tour took us through many of the buildings we wished to go into. Our guide was full of information and protected her group like a mother hen. We saw a lot and learned a lot.

My Review: Great tour led by a great guide! We loved every aspect of it. Our guide was an indefatigable woman in her sixties who loves Prague and everything about it. She was not just showing us a city, she was guiding us through HER Prague. It was wonderful.

Vienna Historical City Tour with Schonbrunn Palace Visit

My Review: We took this tour on a Sunday morning. The streets of downtown Vienna were easy to navigate and our bus could pull up and pause for us to see sights of interest. The Schonbrunn Palace was a wonderful stop - we wished we had more time - and the tour inside the imperial apartments was great.

Naples and Pompeii Day Trip from Rome

My Review: The sights were great, but the tour company did not have its act together. The stop in Naples was simply to drop another group going to Capri off at the dock - same on the way back as we picked them up. The group consisted of people speaking 5 languages, so everything got said 5 times. Also, our guides said we could go back to the bus after lunch, but the driver moved the bus, the guide would not call, and a gentleman with a prosthetic leg had to walk Pompeii without his walking stick. Others did not have cameras, batteries, etc.

My Review: The sights were great, but the tour company did not have its act together. They started late, and we ended up entering Hadrian's Villa through the exit as we had missed closing - then it was a rush to get through before we were locked in.

My Review: Great way to get acclimated to the city - we did it on our first day, and the ticket, good for 24 hours, was convenient transport on the second day.
