This tour was very educational. We learned tons of information as well as enjoyed tremendous views from the top of Mt. Vesuvius. The visit to Pompeii was a good length in light of the 13-hour day from Rome. We saw a nice variety of houses, businesses, and the forum. The hike up Vesuvius is truly strenuous; expect that if you decide to hike. Even without the hike, the views from the parking lot are fabulous. The Naples pizza was very good and authentic. The margherita was much more flavorful than the ham and cheese. The only negative was a bit of a cool college kid attitude on the part of the guides in the morning. However, this improved later in the day when our tour group did not respond to this. On the up side, our guides were honest about answering questions saying that they did not know an occasional answer. They were very watchful and took good care of our groups. They separated our busload of people into smaller groups with different local guides at Pompeii to be sure that everyone had a good experience there.
