Overall, I enjoyed this trip. The visits to Fontainebleau and Vaux le Vicomte were excellent, with plenty of time available to see both chateaux and their lovely gardens. The 3-course lunch at Vaux was very good. It would have been nice to have spent even half an hour in Barbizon instead of just driving through.

I found the Champagne region trip very enjoyable from start to finish. The various guides gave very informative and interesting commentaries but the visit to the Moet et Chandon cellars was the highlight for me.
