Florence Half-Day or Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

My Review: the guides were fantastic...both were very knowledgeable and friendly with great command of English....i think the down side was that we had to wait nearly 2 hours to get in the Academia and had to wait in boiling heat and we were disappointed by the number of exhibits once we were inside (although David was amazing!). The Uffizi was very interesting...alot of paintings from the great Italian masters and lovely location. If you do the am and pm tour you end up covering a couple of the same locations ie City Hall....so it'd be better if that was changed.

My Review: fantastic day out....sienna was beautiful but would have liked another hour or two of personal time to look around, the trip to the farm was interesting and lunch was one of the best and freshest meals we had in Italy, while the leaning tower of pisa was amazing and exceeded my expectations. the guide was excellent, spoke English extremely well, courteous and answered any questions you had

My Review: guide was lovely. great command of English and had everything planned out. very efficient and a great way to get to the city. note that its an 8 minute ride and then you still have to take a car at the other side (but you save 30mins in total). this is expensive to do as the actual train ticket is cheap so if you're a little adventurous do it yourself and save serious $.

My Review: Amazing. Lei my guide was great. I met with him in the morning and went through the places i wanted to visit. The night before he recommended getting a car/driver for the day to cover as much ground as possible and i laughed when he showed up the next day with my own mini bus and driver. But what a great idea...it meant i actually managed to cover 2 other main sites i wouldn't have had change to get too otherwise. Lei was a very patient guide, great command of english and answered every questions i had with enthusiasm (and i'm sure he must have been asked the same things time and time again). Lei had studied history so it was great to have someone with such extensive knowledge.

Great Wall of China at Badaling and Ming Tombs Day Tour from Beijing

My Review: i loved the Great Wall part of the trip. We actually went to a part of the wall just before Badalong so that we missed the crowds. The wall was very steep here, which was okay for me but the lady i was with struggled on the lower parts. Great views, well maintained section and nice to arrive before the crowds. After that we went to a Jade Factory, we weren't bothered re purchasing but you saw how they worked with the stone which was quite interesting. The Ming Tombs was disappointing as we only went to one area and so we missed the actual tomb that you could walk down too and the main drive way.

My Review: very efficient. driver met me in the arrivals hall holding a sign with my name. only small niggle was that English speaking guide wasn't there as i'd wanted to ask questions (they did call me on phone). but driver was very courteous and efficient.

Terracotta Warriors Essential Full Day Tour from Xi'an

My Review: great tour. we covered 3 major sites. the wild goose pagoda, the original ancient settlement and the terracotta warriors. it was national week when i was there so i actually got to meet the farmer who discovered the site which was cool. the trip had the right pace. the guide was excellent, great English, took time to ensure we managed to see each area of the site and took photos for everyone and pointed out the best spots for you.

Best of Shanghai Day Tour including Jade Buddha Temple and The Bund

My Review: guide once again was great, brilliant command of English, only thing was we felt a little rushed from one place to the next. jade buddha temple is amazing, fantastic sites to see. lunch was great, good food in a clean restaurant. we visited a silk factory which was interesting to see how silk is made and there's tons of things to buy. the weather wasn't great on our trip so we had to cut short the walk through the xintandi area and i wished we'd had gone lower down on the bund and seen the historic buildings versus focusing on the waterfront. but great day trip to see a lot of key sights and find your bearings for the next day.
