Since our hotel was located in the Vatican area, I chose this option for my jet lagged family to begin their first experience in Rome. The pick up location was excellent and having the printed tickets was an easy process. I was disappointed that there were NO working headphone outlets on the 1st bus (so much for an informative tour within our first hours in Rome!). On other buses, there were many outlet issues. Frustrating! Do not expect helpful, friendly staff, short waits, or many opportunities to sit as a family. I wasted $ on the 48 hr. pass, because we scrapped this plan on the second day, took the taxi twice, and used our legs.
On my first visit to Rome, I learned the hard way that you can miss the Sistine Chapel by standing in line an hour! THIS time, I arrived in Rome with the tour tickets printed and ready. I was not disappointed!!! It was by far, the most excellent tour I have ever taken! My entire family agreed. One word of advice: If the meeting place is "the steps across the street from Museum entrance", take a close look. In this crowded area, you may not see the steps unless you explore. You will not be disappointed in this tour choice!
