Las Vegas, Nevada
The Ethel M Chocolate Factory and cactus garden stop was only worth it for the toilet stop. Unfortunately, if you have been to Cadbury World then no one else can really claim to be a chocolate factory and I have seen better cactus in Spain while walking along the promenade. The Hoover Dam tour was too informative for us, we would have been better to do the express tour. The lake mead cruise was also a little disappointing but lovely to sit up top in the sunshine in the quiet for a couple of hours. The lunch was just a roll, packet of crisps and fruit with a drink. There was a bar available at extra cost. Overall for the cost of the trip it was value for money. The tour operator was slick and bus driver was excellent and very informative. I think having been we would do express tour and Colorado river trip would have been more up our street.
Las Vegas, Nevada
An awesome trip, must be done when in Vegas, once in a lifetime. Very cool, 3 helicopters in our group, Volunteer to sit up front on way out as views are most spectacular on way out over hoover dam and lake mead and then up to canyon and through canyon to picnic landing site. Felt safe whole time. Pilot was excellent and very informative. The tour company was very slick, quick to process you in at Henderson, pick up on time. Champagne was chilled and lashings of cold water available. Picnic was a tad disappointing, expected more than celery, carrot sticks and Ritz crackers with a slice of cheese but you only get 30 minutes at stop site. Have to stop to refuel for 5 minutes on way back, everyone gets a chance to sit up front. Fantastic day.
