The Luau was enjoyable if a little over commercialised. I am pleased I attended it.
We were picked up by a coach and driven to the Luau. On the coach was a rep from Paradise Cove, I presume, and he was the most irritating person I have come a cross for a long time. He had to talk in teen/text-speak all the time. Manageable for a little while but after half an hour it was grating beyond belief. It was all so unnecessary. All those on the coach wanted to know was what would be happening not be subjected to a manic cheer leader. Thankfully, on the way back he was quieter.
This has to have been the best tour I have been on.
The driver, Keao, was a star. He engaged all on board without resorting to the 'are you aaaallllll allllright?' nonsense. He was knowledgeable, charming, self-effacing and, most of all, knew when to keep quiet when he had nothing useful to say.
The island is beautiful and this is a great way to see it.
Las Vegas, Nevada
A very enjoyable tour best undertaken earlier in the day as the main reception area when you arrive at the Grand Canyon gets very busy later on.
We decided not to have the helicopter tour into the canyon and instead visited the sky walk area (pretty dull if you aren’t going to go on the sky walk) and Eagle Point which was visually stunning.
The meal provided at Eagle Point was surprisingly good.
One small gripe and this relates to the transport to the aircraft. It is very cramped and certainly on the way back unsuitable. The company should sort this out.
Flying to the Grand Canyon is far, far better than driving.
Las Vegas, Nevada
Tiffany, our guide, was excellent. She was knowledgeable and ensured everyone was helped.
The tour contains a lot of walking, some of it at a pace too. However, it is a great introduction to Las Vegas and certainly helps to orient you for more detailed visits.
