Couldn't have been easier. We were met by a smiling, energetic driver who worked like a magician putting the luggage for five women in the limo.
A comfortable and lovely ride to the port with a quick stop to pick up some essentials!

We had all been to Murano and Burano before. This was our chance to get to Tortello - what a magnificient island. A beautiful walk along what looks to be a newly built canal. It was truly picturesque and the original church and surrounding views are great. Warm and wonderful and truly welcoming - no rush or crush of crowds - simply tranquil.

Marco was a nice tour guide - not overly wordy but certainly informative enough. We were in a comfortable van and the countryside is so different than Venice itself. The day flowed nicely - sightseeing while driving, walking and viewing the cities and towns and enjoying a delightful lunch at a lovely spot chosen by Marco. It was a great way to get a very special taste of Italy.

A little disappointing. We had scheduled the tour on our arrival day into Venice. The ten minute walk from San Marco was more like a 1/2 hour walk and when we FINALLY figured out where everyone was gathered - the tour guide said it would be another hour of walking - we chose to meet the group at the gondola spot. The gondola ride was boring. No introductions, no talking, no singing and actually not much to look at in the dark. Save your money and go to Torcello !!

Thank goodness we hired our own water taxi - no need to worry about luggage, our arrival time or route numbers etc. Enjoy the views - take some pictures and throw your concerns in the canal. Door to door service is magical !!
