I signed up for the transportation plus 3 hour tour package and it was great. The tour takes about 12 hours because I was at the pick up hotel at 6:15 a.m. and return to my lodgings around 6:30. It is well organized and a long day but well worth it. There's not much to see from Boston to the Falmouth ferry so it's a good time to nap. Our tour guide on the Vineyard was Mr. G and he was entertaining and informative. Gave historical insights and pointed out homes of the rich and famous. There were a few photo stops on the tour. Recommend the 3 hour tour highly -- I doubt anyone could see or hear as much about the entire island by taking public transportation. After the tour, there is still enough time to have a nice relaxing lunch and to pick up some souvenirs before departing on the ferry back to Falmouth. It was a fun day.
I arrived around 10:30 p. at the Beijing airport and the driver was waiting for me outside of baggage claim with my name on a sign. He knew very little English but was very pleasant. Upon arriving at the hotel, he asked the doorman to confirm with me the pick up date and time for my return -- and he was in the lobby waiting for me just as he said he would be for my ride back to the airport. I am so glad I purchased this airport transfer. I know I paid a little more for this service but dealing with surly taxi drivers in Beijing for other short trips proved to be an adventure to see how well they could charge me extra once they knew I was a tourist and did not speak Chinese. I highly recommend this service for a hassle free ride.
