Singaporean living in Shanghai. Love Europe, and would take a month holiday there every year. Love Food, almost everywhere. Love the Sea, especially coastal villages.
there were families so the group was kept small. beautiful routes, but when you are at Gourdon, suggest taking lunch at the entrance before the carpark rather than inside the town where there are only 2 restaurants and food is really not good. loved St Paul and the artist feel to it.
A trip you must take either on this small group tour or via the train. Both will take you to the coast and beautiful coastal drives. Vibrant lively towns where everyone seems to know everyone else. Good seafood and paninis. on hindsight, i would have loved to spend one or 2 nights there.
this is big bus tour of almost 50 people, so avoid it if you do not like crowds. but having said that, the sites are just breath-taking especially POMPEII. well preserved and you can almost imagine the daily lives of the Romans in the old days. Naples was a quick drive through and spent like 15 mins there.
OUr guide Lindey was fantastic. humourous, knowledgeable and energetic.
the views were captivating, and i especially liked Sant Antimo Abbey where we made it in time for the chanting. Its just so peaceful. lunch at the vineyard was the highlight as we had lunch in the cellar!
my favourite must be Montepulciano.
