Niagara Falls, Canada
This excellent tour was handled by Over the Falls. Nick our guide was knowlegable and funny. This tour allows you to do a lot in a short time. The Canadian side is basically sightseeing along with lunch and souvenir shopping. The Skylon Tower offers great views all around. The Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds are on the American side. They are wet and intense and a blast. There were 8 folks in our group so the bus was not crowded and allowed us to visit. You get a lot of bang for your buck-I doubt my wife and I could have done half of these things on our own in 6 hours. Ask for Nick! We highly recommend this tour.
San Francisco, California
This was our first trip to San Francisco and this tour allowed us to see the highlights of the city. We spent a lot of time in Chinatown, Golden Gate bridge, and Pier 39. Just hop off and get back on when you finish. We couldn't have seen a fraction of the city on our own and the hassle of driving in a large city and finding parking was eliminated. Since there was no pickup at our hotel, we rode the BART into town and walked a couple of blocks to a stop. But there are a few things that would really improve this tour. First, there are several different tours in town (not Viator per se). When we got to the initial stop, there were 4 different buses and we weren't sure which was ours. Viator needs to identify the specific tour company they contract with. Second, tour narration was often muffled on the top deck. Third, some stops are vague as to the exact spot the bus stops. For example, Union Square is large and you can be a block away when the bus arrives. Lastly, a stop at Ghiraldelli Square would be good. Overall, a good tour that we recommend.
