Unfortunately the day we went, the palace was closed for an official function. The tour company informed us of this before we left and gave us the option of doing the tour on another day. The tour guide was knowledgable.

This was a fantastic tour thanks to our very capable driver/tour guide, Claudia. This young lady was both knowledgable and enthusiastic. She effortlessly switched between French and English to ensure all five members of the tour group had a full appreciation of the areas we visited. We stopped at a lovely village for morning tea, the wine and tapas late morning were good, the lunch delicious and the vineyard tour and the port tasting in the afternoon were great. Beautiful scenery and good company made for a very enjoyable day.

By the time the female tour guide gave the commentary in 5 different languages, she had lost enthusiasm and most people on the tour had lost patience or interest. I would have preferred to go with a smaller group like the tour "Inside Lisbon" ran. Also I was thought the tour included the National Palace?

Fabulous trip, but you may like to consider the train for part of the journey.
You need to go to the cathedral well before one oclock,when the choir sings two songs.

Three and a half hours and three phone calls later my shuttle actually arrived.
I followed the directions on the voucher only to find the office closed. I then went to the tourist office where I was told how unreliable this company is. The lady rang and I was told to wait there. After 45 minutes she rang again;Again I was told they were on their way, but after another 45 minutes, she rang again.
Someone finally turned up, but he had no identification and despite me sending emails to confirm my booking, he did not have my name. It was only by chance we realised I was the passenger he was asked to collect. On the shuttle there was an English couple who had also waited over 3 hours and an English girl who had waited over 2 and a half;
