El Escorial Monastery and the Valley of the Fallen from Madrid

Madrid, Spain

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

I'm glad that my husband and I decided to join this tour instead of doing it ourselves. There were so many things to learn about the monastery and the valley of the fallen, which both our tour guides explained very well. Having heard the explanations, stories and trivia made us appreciate the place more. The tour itself was very organised and punctual. Our guide was bilingual and spoke good English.

Los Angeles Sightseeing Grand Tour

Los Angeles, California

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

A good way to see LA at a glance. Our group was rather big though, that the stops were a bit short. Tour also started late so our guide seemed to speed things up. Everything passed quickly, it felt like one big blur.

Pompeii and Amalfi Coast Small Group Day Trip from Rome

Rome, Italy

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
This trip was worth doing. I thought that this second visit to Pompeii would be boring, but I'm so glad I joined. Our local guide was a gem! He was able to present the story of Pompeii in a very relevant, historical manner, which made me know another aspect of Pompeii. The restaurant where we had lunch in Positano was marvelous. The food was fresh and delicious. Amalfi was equally good. And our guide for the entire trip was very polite, professional and accommodating.

3-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
The trip was absolutely worth it. The tour operators were very professional and organised in handling this tour. The staff was very accommodating and made us feel well looked after. The local guides in Pompeii and Capri were very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and animated. The trivia they added to their explanations made the visits more real and interesting. They, together with the local coordinator for the Sorrento, Naples and Capri area, and the tour guide from Rome to Naples and Pompeii, spoke English, Spanish and German very well. It was amazing how they can switch from one language to another and say exactly the same thing. The hotel in Sorrento was fabulous and the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Food was abundant everywhere they took us for meals. Sorrento, Pompeii and Capri were great places to see and definitely money well spent. However, Naples didn't really have much to show. In fact, I was a bit disappointed with the place. The third day in Sorrento was also a perfect way to cap the trip. It gave us enough time to explore the place on our own. The tour operators don't make you feel rushed. Even if we were following a schedule, they still had the ability to make us feel relaxed and having a lot of free time to explore the places on our own.
