Viator VIP: Palace of Versailles Small-Group Tour with Private Viewing of the Royal Quarters

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
There is absolutely no other way to see Versailles than this amazing VIP tour. If you are looking at other Versailles tours, than just stop right now, and book this one! You are in such a place of beauty and decadence, you should be treated exactly as you feel... like royalty! We arrived early before the palace actually opened, entered through a special side door and were quickly introduced to our private tour guide who lead us through the iconic marble courtyard into our special VIP tour, just as the lines started to stretch across the front gates. You arrive into the memorable hall of mirrors, before the crowds stream in, and truly get to enjoy its vast beauty, all while being informed of the incredible history that took place here. Then you are lead through several of the King's chambers, that are normally closed to the public. You have the opportunity to really explore the rooms without a crowd around shoving you through, like the public areas. The experience is absolutely once in a lifetime. No earphones, or handheld devices needed here, as your private guide really ensures an intimate experience. There is something very special about being led behind barricades into areas of the palace that other people only get to see from afar, like the Palace Chapel, and the gorgeous and opulent Opera House. After the private tour concludes, you have free reign of the gardens and grounds. I enjoyed lunch at the Angelina, and took a nap at the top of the grand canal, before watching the water show and strolling the gardens. It was just a lovely experience, something I will never forget! Thank you so much Viator! Truly once in a lifetime!

Skip the Line: Eiffel Tower Tickets and Small-Group Tour

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

The skip the line tour was worth absolutely every penny! The line for the lifts was enormous and probably would have taken 4-5 hours to get through! Our guide, Kaycie, was easy to find, and started off with information about the tower and its conception at the base. We walked right past the huge line, and got up to the 2nd floor in minutes, Our tour continued with Kaycie pointing out points of interest and giving us a bit of history. Really informative and the view was just fantastic! We did have to wait a bit to get up to the summit, but really not very long. The sunset was juts a spectacular thing to witness, and being on the top of the tower as it lit up was really something I will remember forever. Thanks Viator!

Convenient way to get around town, easy to change buses, good accompanying audio guide, A more complete tour than Les Cars Rouges, which is what comes with the Paris Pass. I especially like being able to tour the Montmarte district!

Perfume Workshop in Paris

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This was such an amazing experience! The perfume studio is in a lovely part of town and the studio itself is housed in a chic Parisienne apartment. Mariana was a great host and taught us a lot about how to create a balance with your scent. We were able to make 3 scents and get one full sized bottle, with the option of purchasing additional bottles. I, of course, had to buy all 3, and all my friends back home in the States are so jealous and want to make their own perfumes! The experience in a whole was lovely, and I really loved the certificate diploma I received afterward, stating I am now an "Apprentice Perfumer"!

Paris City Segway Tour

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This was the MOST fun I've had on any vacation ever! I loved the Segway tour!! I am so glad I booked this for my 1st day in the city, as it was a great way to see the sights of the city. You could cover a ton of ground and it was so fun and exciting to zip around the city on the Segways. It was a little challenging at first to get your sense of balance, but once you got the hang of it, super fun! It was exhilarating and refreshing on such a warm day too. Our guide, Josh, was calm and patient with everyone and gave a great delivery of history at every stop. I had so much fun, I tried to check if I could do it again before I left. Absolutely highly recommended, you wont regret it!

Paris Pass

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

I bought the 6-day Paris Pass, and while it probably didn't actually save me any money, it did save a LOT of time being able to skip some very long lines and walk right into a lot of monuments and museums. You don't actually get a metro card, but enclosed metro tickets. Just pass them in and out of the validator every time you board the bus or metro, and you're good. Arc de Tromphe, Musee D'Orsay, and Centre Pompidou had quite a long line for tickets, so very convenient to bypass and just flash my pass. A trick for entrance to the Louvre - there are two stairwells to the right and left of the arch facing the Pyramid that leads you down into the Carousel du Louvre (shopping center) and you can literally walk right into the entrance. No lines!! Paris Pass pays for itself in its ease of use and convenience!
