The Bateaux Parisiens Dinner Cruise exceeded my expectations (and I have very high expectations). Initially, I considered the notion of floating down the Seine a bit cliche. That being said, I am now a believer. This particular cruise was romantic, classy and well organized. The food was surprisingly high quality and delicious. Enjoyed the process from beginning to end, and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a sexy way to see Paris.

This was, by far, our favorite planned excursion while in Paris. The museum is absolutely beautiful never mind the fact that it houses the largest collection of impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces in the world. But the highlight of the tour was our guide. She was absolutely AMAZING! It became clear immediately that she was not only knowledgeable but passionate about the art/artists. My husband was engrossed by her presentation, which is no small feat. We laughed and learned and grew as people. Fantastic!

I struggled with whether to review this tour or not, but ultimately decided that no one else should fall prey to it. If you are interested in 1) chocolate and 2) pastries, do NOT take this tour. It was absolutely awful! Although nice, the tour guide was completely scatter-brained and seemed to freestyle the entire 3-hour event. She spent more time talking about architecture than chocolate and pastries. Ours was a very small tour group of 4, including my husband and me. At one point, the other couple asked if we were going to eat more chocolate to which the guide replied, "Wow...you sure like chocolate, don't you?" Are you kidding me? We are on a tour called "Paris CHOCOLATE and Pastry Food Tour". Please save your money. Consider yourselves warned.

The best part about the "Skip the Line: Paris Louvre Museum Guided Tour" was skipping the line. Otherwise, it was mediocre at best. The tour guide was a bit surly and not fully conversant on the few pieces of art she covered. I understand that there is a lot to see in the Louvre, but we small a very, very, very (did I mention very) small portion of it. Also, the ticket that our tour guide purchased did not allow us to reenter or move freely about the museum.

Let me start by saying Mont Saint Michel is awe-inspring! It has been a lifelong dream of mine to see it and I am happy to say I have done so. Now, for the actual tour itself, it was well organized. The bus was comfortable and clean. Be advised that it is a LONG day. The ride is 5 hours one-way. With regards to the lunch that is included, it was awful. And the wait staff was awful. They literally tossed the plates at our tour group and dared us to say something about it. Also, we were forced to share one bottle of water amongst a table of 12. The tour guide was knowledgeable but somewhat hard to understand due to her heavy accent. In summation, I am glad that such a tour exists, giving tourists a vehicle by which to access a wonderful historical site from Paris. However, some of the details need to be massaged somewhat. I returned to my hotel room tired and oh so hungry.
