What a great tour! Our guide (I'm sorry her name escapes me) was very knowledgeable and passionate about the museum and the paintings in it. By her explanations I truly gained a better appreciation of art and how to look at a painting to SEE what the painter was conveying. The museum itself was beautiful. Of course the space around the Mona Lisa was packed full of pushy people (seems to fit my experiences at sites like this) but it was great to see it. A wonderful all around experience
AWESOME! Really enjoyed this tour. It was the first thing we did when we got to Paris and it really gave us a sense of where everything is. We didn't get to go to the Eiffel Tower - went instead to Montparsse Tower which was alright - we got a nice view of the city and the Eiffel Tower. LOVED the river cruise... it's always a nice way to see the sights of a city.... plus there were awesome views of the Eiffel Tower from it AND no crowds! I loved seeing the monuments all lit up - especially the Eiffel Tower. Great tour that we'd recommend to anyone.
Nice way to see a lot of scenery in one day. We stopped in a little town for lunch and got to see some rose gardens then onto Liechtenstein. Didn't seem to have a lot of time at any stop but we did cover a lot of ground.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and told us some great things about Switzerland!
Heidiland was alright. We paid the extra to go into the house but it was nothing different from any other old houses we visited. It was a really nice drive up to it but I don't think I'd ever go again. We did send a postcard from there which was pretty cool but the store was expensive.
I liked being able to go to all three places. Probably wouldn't take this tour again - think it would be better to just go on your own or take a whole day tour. At Murano we got to watch the glass production for about 10 minutes then they herded us into the showroom to buy things (pretty expensive but outstandingly beautiful work). Then we visited Torcello - didn't get a ton of time there either - by the time you walked to where the church was it was time to walk back. In Burano we visited a shop where one lady was working on a piece of lace. It was alright but again they wanted you to go visit the showroom. The lace is magnificent and the way in which they make it is truly remarkable. You just don't get to see it very well. We spent a little bit of time walking around the town before heading back.
For a half day tour I feel like we got our money's worth.
Just a note: we sat outside on the boat but you cannot hear what the tour guide is saying - we moved inside but couldn't hear any better so we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Great tour! Our tour guide was awesome and really knew about her city. We saw lots and leaned lots about this amazing place.
The walk was not too long - there was always something to stop and see. DId not spend a lot of time in Saint Marks.... only walked through. The tour also included a tour on the canals and I really enjoyed that. It was great to see and find out what the buildings right along the canals - and especially the grand canals were.
Really great. Would recommend this tour to everyone.
Our guide was comical and knowledgeable about the city - I really enjoyed listening to them. On our way to dinner we had a little walking tour and it was great.
Dinner was good - middle of the road tastes that everyone could enjoy.
The highlight of the night was the concert. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced. I've not been to the opera before and I'm glad this was my first experience with it.
There were two singers and the first note almost made me cry. I've never heard a voice fill a space like they did. Gave me chills. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. The church is small and beautiful and it was a truly intimate experience.
