A nice day trip. It was quite a hike up to the cable car in the heat but the scenery is spectacular. Inside the ice cave itself there were so many stairs, it was freezing, and there was a huge group (with the tour conducted by an employee at the ice cave). Would definitely recommend it to people who don't mind the exercise.
This tour was what I was most looking forward to my whole trip but it was a really big disappointment. The company is really disorganised. I turned up at the meeting point and they don't really give any instructions. Most of the time we were in the bus, driving past lakes and mountains. When we got out of the bus there was a boat ride but we arrived late so all the seats above deck were taken. We had some spare time to explore the town and then back on the bus, looking at a few more lakes and mountains. The tour guide kept talking during the bus ride for the sake of talking. He would explain what the word 'autobahn' means in US and UK English. Not the tour's fault but I the group full of rude tourists that day. Needless to say I didn't enjoy it at all. I regret choosing this over their Sound of Music tour.
Interesting perspective. Cheap. Worth doing. The meeting point took me awhile to find though. The instruction wasn't very clear.
