Absolutely wonderful trip, totally off the beaten track for most international tourist to Barcelona. Nice combination of nature hike and historic medieval towns. After all the tourist in the city it's nice to experience something "before everyone else heard about it". Many thanks to Adrian who was a fantastic guide, tailor making the excursion to suit my interest as well as selecting very good local produce which we enjoyed by a waterfall; a pleasant walk from the well preserved town of Rupit nestled in the wooded valleys of the volcanic Garrotxa region. Book now without hesitation!!

The mountain scenery of the Valley of Nuria was certainly one of the highlights of my visit to Catalonia. In just under 2 hours you are surrounded by majestic peaks, lush greenery and rustic villages that seem to defy gravity perched high over valleys. The hermitage at Nuria was certainly a great base offering something for everyone be it just enjoying local food and enjoying the majesty of nature or hiking trails for the more adventurous. A wonderful excursion to escape the urban landscape of the city.
