Rum Distillery and Old San Juan Half-Day Tour
San Juan, Puerto Rico
My Rating

The tour was fun. We joined 6 others for an afternoon adventure. The guide spoke little English which made it difficult to understand some of his directions and the content of his description of the area. However, he was a very friendly, nice gentleman who seemed to enjoy his job. The history of the distillery was interesting, and it was nice to sit and relax over a rum cocktail. We enjoyed our time at the huge Castile. It was impressive, and gave us a good look into the history of the area. We only had 45min to walk around Old SanJuan. We were able to view the old architecture, cobblestone street, and the park. It wasn't enough time to shop or eat at one of the local restaurants, which was a disappointment. The tour was casual, and not in depth, but it gave us a chance to see other parts of PR. I thought the price was fair. We loved Puerto Rico and hope to return soon.

John's Hall Montego Bay Adventure Tour
Montego Bay or Negril, Jamaica
My Rating

This was an ideal tour for us. We were interested in learning about the culture of Jamaica. Michelle did a wonderful job telling us about the history of the community and answering questions. She had a vast knowledge of the people, plant life, and community at large. Seeing the conditions at the school was eye opening. A very worthy place to make regular charitable donations. The lunch at John's Hall was delicious! All the food was raised on the grounds. Learning about the various vegetation was also very interesting The roads were narrow and not paved. The driver did a wonderful job of navigating the many potholes and getting us safely to and from the bush. I loved viewing the small shops and Jamaican people going about their daily routines. No, this isn't ziplining or cliff diving. However, it was a wonderful way to enhance our knowledge of the island and it's people. Thank-you Michelle for a great time.
