The only way to see the Vatican, skip the line and walk right in. Even though we did not wait in line, the Vatican became very crowded. Therefore, I recommend anyone going to visit book the earliest tour of the day.
Excellent guide and tour! The meeting place was very convenient and the guide very friendly and knowledgeable. Although the tour was excellent, I did not see as much advantage over a walking tour as was our Viator bike tour of Rome. We were in some places that were so crowded with pedestrians that it was almost difficult to ride. We did see all of the major sights and stopped for a Gelato that was included with the tour.
This was the highlight of our visit to Rome. Our guide, Ricardo, spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The bikes were top quality and set-up for city riding. The four hour tour was mostly flat easy riding suitable for virtually anyone and hit all of the major sights while weaving through back roads and alleys. Ricardo took us through upscale neighborhoods and table lined streets and cafes. This tour covered way more ground than could be done on foot and went places no bus ever could. Many of the streets we rode were for non motorized traffic only. Truly the best deal and the best way to see in Rome.
