I am SO GLAD we decided to splurge on this tour. It was such a unique addition to our trip, and we enjoyed every minute. Our tour guide, Miguel, was very friendly and helpful. He had so much information about the history of the caverns, and other bonus stops that we made. We swam in the Jade Cavern, and Miguel took anyone who wanted to go, into the bat cave in the deeper part of the cavern. AMAZING. We had a fun ride, got absolutely covered in mud, held alligators, checked out an old Mayan cave, swam in a freshwater cavern, and swam in a bat cave. The only thing I regret is buying cheap shoes just for this trip, because close-toed shoes were required, but would get soaked in mud. Turns out, you can rent a pair of crocs there at the base of the tour.
DO IT! You won't be sorry!
