Venice was wonderful but we were mislead about this tour and would not recommend doing this one. Most people who had booked this were expecting a lovely romantic start cruising in their gondola, being serendaded as a couple or their group but we were all, probably about 100 or so,bundled in together and the serenade was a group seranade of about 10 gondolas. Our friend had to sit on the front (without his partner) on a hard surface as the seats were all occupied. We were dropped back at the departure point after the gondola ride and given no information about dinner. We had to seek that info ourselves from the reluctant and disinterested staff from the gondola tour. Eventually they gave us a photocopied map of the restaurant location. It was in the back blocks and very very ordinary. Pretty disappointing all round but we still managed to enjoy ourselves.
